Scope of role

01 — The role

Why this role exists at EduRankAI

EduRankAI is launching one of India's most ambitious science-education programs — a 30-day national bootcamp on Quantum Science, Quantum Technology, and Artificial Superintelligence, with a registration target of 1 crore and a flagship in-person phase at IIT Guwahati for the top 100 selected fellows. We are inviting world-class Resource Persons — researchers, professors, industry scientists, and senior practitioners — to shape this program's intellectual core. You will teach a cohort of 1,000 highly selected learners ranging from Class 11 students to working professionals just entering the field. Your sessions will be live-streamed nationally, and your problem sets and capstone-mentorship will influence India's next generation of quantum and AI talent. This is not a one-off guest lecture. It's a chance to anchor a movement.

02 — The work

What you will own

  • 01 Design and deliver 4–8 live lectures across the 21-day virtual phase on your area of specialization.
  • 02 Build problem sets and reading lists aligned with your lectures.
  • 03 Host weekly office hours / Q&A sessions for the 1,000-strong cadet cohort.
  • 04 Contribute questions to the Day 22 mid-program examination question bank.
  • 05 Co-mentor capstone teams in the final week of the virtual phase.
  • 06 Optionally participate in the 3-day IIT Guwahati in-person flagship (Days 23–25) — labs, niche seminars, or panel discussions.
  • 07 Help curate niche-seminar tracks for advanced learners (e.g., quantum sensing, AI safety, topological qubits, LLM alignment).
  • 08 Coordinate with co-faculty to ensure continuity across the 30-day arc.
  • 09 Allow lectures to be recorded for the bootcamp's public learning library.

03 — The expertise

What we look for

Deep expertise in one or more of: quantum mechanics, quantum information, quantum hardware, quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography, AI/ML foundations, deep learning, large language models, AI alignment & safety, AGI/ASI research.Strong teaching ability across a diverse audience spectrum (Class 11 students to working professionals).Fluency with relevant tools: Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, JAX, or equivalent.Comfort with hybrid delivery (live virtual + in-person).Ability to translate research-grade concepts into intuition-first explanations.Open to producing reusable assets — recorded lectures, Colab notebooks, worksheets.Mentorship orientation: comfortable guiding capstone teams, not just lecturing.

04 — The bar

Who thrives here

  • PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a quantum or AI focus — OR equivalent senior industry experience (8+ years) at a quantum hardware company, AI research lab, or national R&D institute.
  • Current or past affiliation with IITs, IISc, IISERs, TIFR, BITS, national labs (DRDO/ISRO/BARC), global universities, leading AI labs (DeepMind / OpenAI / Anthropic / Meta AI / Google Research), or quantum startups (IBM Quantum, IonQ, QpiAI, BosonQ Psi, Quantinuum, etc.) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated track record of teaching, public communication, or open-source / open-science contribution.
  • Available for the bootcamp duration (specific dates communicated post-shortlisting).
  • Willingness to travel to IIT Guwahati for the 3-day flagship is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Indian nationals and international applicants both eligible.

05 — How we work

The EduRankAI environment

Remote-first, async-first

Work from anywhere. We optimise for deep work, not face time. Periodic in-person off-sites for the full-time team.

High autonomy, high standards

We hire adults and trust them. You will be expected to set your own goals, communicate clearly, and ship.

Builders, not bureaucrats

We optimise for clarity over process. Make the call, ship the work, write up what you learned.

Bharat-built, globally ambitious

We are an Indian frontier AI lab. We build for India first and the world second — in that order.

06 — Hiring process
