What we collect
When you apply for a role, we collect the information you provide: name, email, contact details, education, work history, motivation answers, and any uploaded portfolio links or files. When you create an applicant portal account, we additionally store an account email and a hashed password.
When you submit a contact form, we store your name, email, message, and the date.
We collect minimal technical metadata — IP address, user agent string — for security and abuse prevention only.
How we use it
Application data is used only to evaluate your candidacy for the role you applied to (and any future roles you opt in to be considered for). Contact form messages are used only to reply to you. Account data is used to authenticate you in the applicant portal.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
We retain application data for 24 months from your last interaction with us, then delete it. Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hr@edurankai.in.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days. Email hr@edurankai.in.
Security
We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS everywhere) and at rest (database-level encryption). Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Access to applicant data is restricted to a small number of named team members and logged in an audit trail.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in to the applicant portal. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, ad cookies, or analytics that profile individuals.
