Why this role exists at EduRankAI
Ship features end-to-end. Database schema → API → UI → tests → deploy. The role exists for engineers who refuse the false split between "frontend" and "backend" and who can carry a feature from spec to shipped at small-team velocity with senior judgement. Most senior engineers earn the title by depth in one stack. This role asks for breadth without giving up depth — you should be able to argue convincingly with both the senior backend and senior frontend engineers about their own work.

What you will own
- 01 Own user-facing features from spec to ship: schema, API, UI, tests, deploy.
- 02 Add observability and tests where they pay off; don't add them where they don't.
- 03 Author small RFCs for non-trivial changes; write them well enough that nobody asks for a meeting.
- 04 Pair with design and product weekly; push back when scope is wrong.
- 05 Mentor mid engineers across the stack.
- 06 Be a default-good code reviewer for everyone.
