What you will own
- 01 Own production deploys + rollback — make the process boring.
- 02 Set up + own observability (logs, metrics, traces, alerts) that humans can act on at 3am.
- 03 Run the on-call rotation; make it fair.
- 04 Lead incident response and write the postmortems.
- 05 Own infra-as-code (Terraform / Pulumi).
- 06 Cost optimisation across cloud — known to finance, audited quarterly.

- → You have been incident commander for at least three Sev-1 outages and written the postmortems.
- → You can describe an SLO you killed because it was meaningless and what you replaced it with.
- → You have led a production migration that did not page anyone.
- → You write runbooks before you need them.
