Why this role exists at EduRankAI
Work on LLM features under Staff and Senior ML engineer mentorship. Eval, prompts, retrieval, fine-tuning runs. The role is for engineers who are early in their ML career but already understand that the eval is where the work is, not the prompt. You will pair with Senior ML engineers daily and you will be expected to read at least one paper a week. Growth path is to Mid ML in 12-18 months.

- 01 Maintain and extend the eval harness.
- 02 Tune prompts and document the wins/losses, with evals as evidence.
- 03 Help with fine-tuning runs.
- 04 Pair daily with Senior + Staff ML engineers.
- 05 Read ML literature regularly.

Who thrives here
- → You have built at least one project on top of an LLM API.
- → You have read at least three frontier ML papers and can describe their core claim in writing.
- → You write evaluation code without being asked to.
- → You can describe an LLM bug you debugged with an eval you wrote.
